In depth information of Micronized minerals and Specialty chemicals

Flame Retardent - Silica Minreals - smoke suppressant

Extracted from world’s best reserves and processed using state-of-the-art technologies, Micronized Minerals and Speciality Chemicals have diverse applications in various industrial sectors.
India’s top selling minerals and chemicals used in various applications like cable compounding, sheet molding,Paints, Powder Coatings, Plastics, and Electrical Insulation are:

Flame Retadent - Aluminium Trihydrate and Magnesium Hydroxide

A flame retardant is a substance that reduces flammability or delays the ignition of thematerial over which it is coated. Aluminium Trihydrate is the most commonly used flame retardant treatment. It works on the basis of heat sinking and endothermic dehydration characteristics that enable Aluminium Trihydrate to retard the burning of polymers. Aluminium Trihydrate releases about 35% of its weight in the form of steam at approximately 220°c (428°f). The water vapor released quenches the surface of surrounding materials while restricting the access of oxygen to the burning polymer and potentially toxic gases are also diluted by this water vapor.
Magnesium Hydroxidealso has an application asflame retardant and smoke suppressant. The endothermic decomposition of Mg(OH)2 occurs during the combustion which acts as the flame retardant coatings mechanism. The water released during combustion has the effect of diluting the combustible gases and acts as a barrier, preventing oxygen from supporting the flame.

Silica – Ideal solutions for glass industries

Natural Silica is most commonly found in nature as sand or quartz. Major uses of silica are in glass, steel and electrical industry. Silica is one of the main ingredients used in the initial stages of building silicate glasses and ceramics. It is used primarily in the production of glass for bottles, windows, glasses, beverage and many other uses.
Silica mineral has a high melting point and this property makes it perfect component for insulating wires, fiber optic cables and semiconductors. The natural silica is crystalline mineral with varied forms and  It is a key raw material for many white ware ceramics such as porcelain, earthenware, stoneware as well as industrial Portland cement.
